I have been wondering for some time why some gated communities out there are available to all those who are 55 years or above. The longer I think about it, the more sense it actually makes. I do not know if there are gated communities for seniors or everybody over 55 in your area, but I know of at least a few of them in my area. No matter how hard I tried to live in one of them, I will not be able to do it until I reach the age of 55 or above. But the moment I hit 55, I am going to seriously consider moving to one of such communities to live there my life to the fullest.
I believe that the idea of communities for seniors is a brilliant idea. Not only are the seniors allowed to live their lives in peace, but they can also make new friends since there are so many other people their age living so close to them. For most older folks out there, meeting new friends despite their advanced age might be a perfect way to avoid loneliness. I am sure that you would agree with me that living alone is not that great. I would not want to ever live alone because I appreciate the company of my great family. Those who are on their own can at least know that the moment they leave their home, they have a chance to meet somebody, someone who lives just next door.
What do you think about the topic? Do you know somebody who lives in a gated community for seniors? If yes, feel free to share your experiences with us so that we can all learn from one another.
