Kids and Internet Rules

When my kids grow a little and they are going to start using the Internet, I am going to be very clear about the rules in place for the use of the Internet. I am going to explain to them who those rules are and I am also going to tell them that those rules are non-negotiable. I am going to be as clear about them as possible.

I believe that it is a good idea to set some sort of punishment for not obeying the Internet rules. One idea that comes to my mind here right now is temporarily preventing my kids from using the Internet for a certain amount of time.

Chances are high that he will return the favor and visit your blog as well.

3. Submit your blog to as many directories as possible. Submitting your blog to directories will also increase your site�s Page Rank. Increasing your site�s Page Rank will in turn result in receiving more visitors.
4. Use accurate keywords in your blog description. This will help you being listed in Google results whenever someone will search for related terms. Received organic traffic is a very cost-effective solution.

I Like to Write

I visit blogs of other bloggers on a regular basis. From time to time, I come across a blog authored by somebody who obviously is not passionate about blogging. I can spot such blogs immediately. It usually does not take me that much time. I know when a blogger is not passionate about writing. It happens when a person finds it difficult to write articles and posts. I do not know how to express it in words, but I can recognize if somebody is passionate about writing or not. I can see the difference between somebody passionate and somebody not passionate enough.

Taking Care of Your Website

While the content of the website is the most important thing, it does not mean that a webmaster should not take some time to make his website look very well. There are many things a webmaster can do to make a website look more professional.

I would like to give some pointers when it comes to the color of text on websites. This is one of the most basic decisions any webmaster has to make at some point. First of all, generally the color should be easily visible and suited to the background to ensure that visitors will not have a hard time reading text. Most pages use white background, and if that is the case black color of text fits perfectly. The general guideline is to try to use the opposite color of font compared to the background, such as black and white. I understand that some people might really want a pink or any other colorful font, but a blog should serve a purpose of delivering your opinions across. If the text is unreadable, then this is not going to be achieved easily. You should only use some �exotic� color if your website does not contain a lot of text, but other elements such as images or videos. However, if most of the content on your blog is text, then you should focus to make your blog accessible to your readers. You can easily recognize if a blog has done a good job when it comes to text color, just by looking at it for a few seconds.

  • Creating an auction website might sound difficult, but it is possible to do and it could result in a quite large income. My recommendation would be to have a specific niche website. That is because a new auction website would not be able to compete which giants such as eBay if it would not be distinctive enough.
  • Dating websites can be a good source of income if you are able to attract many users. Since there is a quite big competition, you might consider having a free dating site and monetize it with ads. There are scripts for dating sites being sold all over the Internet.

As I said earlier, there are no get rich quick schemes, so please treat the list I gave as ideas that you can use to get started. Each of us have different abilities, and I imagine that while some of the websites I mentioned might seem very hard to create, to a person who has the right skills these ideas will bring a lot of money. Remember that you do not have to have many different websites to earn a lot of cash. I suggest choosing one or two ideas and sticking to them.

In my opinion, avoiding scams or having the ability to recognize them might be as important as being able to recognize legitimate opportunities. Scams will either just waste your time, or time and money. I will try to give a few examples:

-Programs that will not require any payment or deposit, but will never pay you for their work even if you reach the minimum payout.
-Programs that will not require any payment or deposit, but will not pay you because you did not reach the minimum payout. The scam here is that the minimum payout is so high, that taking into account the pace in which you earn money, it could take you a year or more to accumulate such an amount of money. During this year you might stop being interested in earning money online, the company can stop existing, or it can have financial problems and will never pay you. It requires some experience and knowledge to spot such scams.
-Programs which require a purchase of an �attractive� product, which is supposed to make you money. It may be a pyramid scheme or something else. Into this category I would also include websites that charge a membership fee before you make any money. It might be called a business start-up kit. What all of those programs and websites have in common is that you are not going to earn any money because of them, but rather waste your time and money.

Since the Internet was invented millions of websites came into existence. Some websites are business-related, but there are also many sites which emphasis is on entertainment. If you are sitting in front of your computer and you are wondering how to have a little bit of fun, then the good news is that there are many fun sites to visit. I would like to list below a few types of which you have want to visit in order to have fun:

-Movie clip sites. There are many sites of this nature and you may be able to find many entertaining videos on such sites. Some of them might be home made, while other may be even more professional. However, even an average person can make an interesting video by putting some effort into it. Most people that I know love to watch funny videos of people�s pets.
-Websites that allow to interact with other can be fun. It is fun to meet others and it is fun to talk to them about various topics. There are many sites that allow talking to others. Some of them are chat rooms, while others are forums. Social networking websites are also very popular as they can be quite convenient.
-Entertainment sites that feature interactive games can be fun. Many of them allow to play against a human opponent and this way you can enjoy playing games and also have some fun while talking to others.

There are many fun sites to visit and I just listed a few examples in order to put you in the right direction. I am sure that you will find something that will be a lot of fun. The best part is that almost everything on the Internet is for free.

Mobile Internet Access

There were times when you could only access the Internet at Universities. Later, the Internet became popular throughout the world, but these days the trend seems to indicate that the Internet is going to be more and more accessible from mobile devices. Currently, there are approximately 1 billion wireless device subscriptions, but analysts predict that this number will reach 3.5 billion in 2011. I believe that this shows that people really appreciate the possibility of accessing the Internet anytime they want, and they are willing to pay for such a service. Since the Internet is becoming more useful every day, I would not be amazed if indeed 3.5 billion people will have wireless Internet access. In my opinion, the more people have access to the Internet, the better it is for the world.
